The Saint June is an environmentally conscious community, earning an AEGB 2 Star Rating

  • Covered bicycle racks are provided in each resident building, and a bike repair and maintenance station is provided at the clubhouse for use by all residents and visitors. Residents are encouraged to make use of bike lanes and trails provided by the City of Austin.
  • Energy efficient HVAC system that allows each apartment to have control over their environment.
  • High-efficiency LED lighting is utilized throughout most of the apartment and common areas.
  • Energy Star ceiling fans in each bedroom. The ceiling fans provide air movement that can reduce the need for cooling from the air conditioning system.
  • High-efficiency tankless water heaters are used to reduce energy waste that typically occurs from reheating water in traditional storage-type water heaters.
  • Energy Star-rated appliances including heat pump air conditioners, washers, dryers, refrigerators, and dishwashers are in each apartment for energy efficiency and/or low-water use.
  • The design of the overall building includes water savings which equates to using 28.3% less water than the City of Austin requires.
  • Construction Waste Management – over 50% of the construction waste from the project was recycled and diverted from a landfill.
  • Highly reflective roofing – reflects the sunlight to reduce the heat transmitted into the building, thus reducing the load on the air conditioning system.
  • Low Emitting Materials – Paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, insulation, flooring, and drywall were all chosen specifically to ensure that the fumes/off-gassing is minimal to non-existent to provide the highest level of indoor air quality.
  • Our pest management provider uses less toxic chemicals for interior and exterior pest control.
  • The Saint June is committed to maintaining a healthy indoor environment and reducing the environmental impact of products used on Saint June’s property. The Saint June’s cleaning service providers agree to comply with The Saint June’s Green Housekeeping Plan and Policy.
